After receiving a report from a victim who said they were assaulted in the Riverland Park neighborhood, the Cayce Police Department has charged four individuals.
According to the department, the charges are as follows:
Micala Nicole Baucom: Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature; possession with the intent to distribute heroin; possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine; trafficking fentanyl; and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Casey Taylor Price: Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Jennifer Marie Owens: Warrants issued for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, possession with the intent to distribute heroin and possession of methamphetamine.
Stephen Allen Rhein: Two counts of possession of firearms and ammunition by a person convicted of certain crimes.
Bonds for Rhein and Price were denied.
Investigators said they found evidence linking all four individuals to the incident, according to a news release.
On Nov. 7, the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the Street Crimes Unit, the Lexington County NET Team and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Firearm Detection K-9 executed a search warrant at 520 Riverside Lane.
Officers found multiple firearms, including handguns and rifles, along with a significant quantity of controlled substances.
“I am extremely proud of our team. Our investigators worked quickly and diligently to find who committed these acts and bring them to justice,” Cayce Police Chief Bruce Wade said in the press release. “Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of the Cayce community. Our neighborhoods are places where families live, work, and play, and we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all.”
