A letter from a Belize baseball fan

our reADERS WRITE

We appreciate all that you at the Chronicle have done for our baseball program here in Belize. A few months ago the word baseball was foreign. Now there is excitement and the league that started with 2 teams now has 7 and more to come. We now need more equipment.

Ralph and Sybil Jarrells have been such a great blessing to us. The people of Toledo, Belize will always be indebted to all of you.

We pray that someday, you will have the opportunity to visit our beautiful country.

Pastor Victor Hernandez, Belize

As a new subscriber, I look forward to each edition. It takes me about an hour to read and digest what each edition contains.

Most of all, I enjoy your hard-hitting editorials and perceptions on how “we” the taxpayers and electricity ratepayers are under-represented by elected state officials plus writers such as Frank Knapp, Jr and Rick Brundrett to give their analysis.

It’s fascinating to read Tom Poland, Mark Powell and Claudette Holliday. I showed my wife the articles on Rose Hill State Park and we can’t wait to make a trip.

Your Lexington County sports coverage is 2nd to none. Great photographs illustrate the achievements in the various athletic endeavors and George Bryan on golf, too!

The Chronicle keeps me informed.
