This annual event was a different due to the corona virus. All safety precautions were carried out, temperatures were taken as you entered and masks were a must.

Among those there were Otis Rawl-Chamber CEO, Sondra Gettys, Melanie Sandor, Adam DeLoache, Connor Watkins, Congressman Joe Wilson, Butch Wallace, Mary Fetchel, Cindy Harris, JoDee Douda, Scott Adams, Shirley Towne, Craig Caldwell, Anne Reynolds, Romy Nos, Bill Lesesne, Lee Pitcovich, O’Neal Staples, Sandy Paavel, David Beatty, Scott Boyer, Ted McGee, Keith Stover, Cathy Schrowang, Angelle LaBordethe upcoming Chamber CEO, John Banks, Michelle Chapman, Joanne Brady, Lindsey Miles, Chuck McCurry, Amy Dubois and Jeff Howle and Richard Kyzer.

A virtual chamber breakfast July 14 featured speaker Major General Van McCarty.

MISSION LEXINGTON reports school may look different due to the virus but they are ready to help. Each year children pack their backpacks filled with items on their class list. Donations can be dropped off at the back door, Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 1 pm. If you want to donate and need a barrel, check the most needed items list and fill out a barrel request form online at missionlexingtonsc.org/hostadrive.

LEXINGTON UNITED Methodist Church has 2 new pastors. Senior Pastor Kim Eanes comes here from Cheraw and Associate Pastor Jim Rogers from Winnsboro. We welcome them both to Lexington.

STAN HITE sends The Chronicle a big thank you. His July 4 BBQ was a complete sell out within 2½ hours. Everything was sold but the kitchen sink. LOL.

Anne Bull reports 18 rising senior ladies from SC will arrive July 23 for training in public speaking, interviewing, being your best and other inspirational activities. They will enjoy a Western BBQ at Town Hall, a visit to the zoo and Statehouse, ballgame, rehearsal time and luau. The girls will come back to Lexington in the fall to compete in the Distinguished Young Women contest. The winner will compete in Mobile, AL.Vicki Hudson is state director. Local families will host the ladies and assist Vicki through the week.
