Adult education program holds College Expo Day

The Lexington Richland School District Five Adult Education Program hosted its annual College Expo Day on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Midlands Technical College, Benedict College, Midlands Quick Jobs, Allen University and Columbia College were among the institutions that participated. Adult Education students had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives and gain firsthand insight into available opportunities, requirements and scholarships. Each institution expressed its support for adult education and its interest in recruiting adult education and other second-chance students who are ready to pursue new opportunities. “Adult education provides an opportunity for students to get a high school diploma or GED, but the district’s Adult Education Program works just as hard to bridge students to a college or career experience as well,” the district said in a news release.
