Lexington—Ms. Ann Frances Kennerty Wannamaker, age 65, passed away in the early morning of February 19, 2019, at her residence. She was born July 15, 1953, in Columbia, SC, eldest daughter to the late Vincent Colwell and Rose Kay Salopek Kennerty.

Ann was a graduate of Lexington High School and the University of South Carolina, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Criminal Justice. She served proudly as a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol in her youth, and went on to work as a Juvenile Counselor with the SC Department of Social Services before becoming a devoted mother and homemaker. Her genuine love of providing guidance and counseling to children continued throughout her lifetime, culminating with her work with elementary school children in Lexington School District One.

She was an avid reader, loved music and the arts, and took great pleasure in writing poetry. She enjoyed travel and exploring new places, and was happiest spending time with family, friends, and her beloved grandson, Vince.

Ann is survived by her son, Ashley Thomas Vincent Wannamaker (Lois Oxner) of Lexington; one grandson, Vincent Keith Wannamaker (her pride and joy); three sisters, Mary Roof (Danny), Victoria Fisher (John), and Kay Nelson (Matthew) of Lexington; one nephew, Jason Roof (Ashley) of Gilbert; and three nieces, Lindsay, Erika, and Madison Fisher of Lexington. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Special thanks to her Aide, Brenda Simmons, for the loving care she provided over the past year.

Funeral service was held February 22, 2019, at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Larry Wannamaker officiating. Burial followed in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens in Columbia. Pallbearers will be Danny Roof, John Fisher, Matthew Nelson, Dustin Heichelbech, Andy Coggins, and Jordan Able.

Memorials may be made to the Ann Wannamaker Memorial Fund at Security Federal Bank, 5446 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC 29072.
