Popular health-conscious grocer Trader Joe’s may be coming to Lexington.

Town officials say Trader Joe’s has shown interest in opening in the former Publix GreenWise store at 5336 Sunset Blvd. that was closed in August.

A petition for Trader Joe’s had almost 800 signatures in the 1st hour it was posted on the town’s Facebook page.

Dining on the Dam postponed

The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center will postpone Dining On The Dam. The new event date is March 28, 2021 from 5-9 pm.

New covid-19 testing sites

CVS Pharmacy has added 2 new covid-19 testing locations in Lexington County.

Drive-thru testing will begin at:

• 500 Knox Abbott Drive, Cayce

• 2908 Emanuel Church Rd., West Columbia

Children age 12 years and older are now eligible for testing at select locations.

Most test results will be available within 2 to 3 days.

Lexington cafe reopens

Palmetto Cafe in Lexington has reopened under a new owner.

The Lexington Chamber held a ribbon cutting at 1070 South Lake Drive in Lexington last week to celebrate the business reopening. Owner Eli Lykes bought the cafe after it
