The Vacation Bible School season continues this week with Lexington Church of God holding its VBS Monday through Friday, June 24-28. This is open to children age 3 years up to 5th grade. There’s a free meal nightly for the kids, and the theme of the event is “Roar! When life is wild, God is good.” Lexington Church of God is at 1331 Nazareth Road. It’s blueberry season, and Berry Hill Farm down on Bluefield Road is opening for limited hours to pick; weather has limited the crop so far. To find out if they’re open, visit their website at www. billsberries.com .
Red Bank United Methodist church is sending a group of youth and adults to help with the Salkehatchie Summer Service rehabilitating low income and elderly housing. The church is collecting bottled water and G2 Gatorade for the crews working in hot summer conditions. Drop donations off at the church office during business hours.
