PLANNING to say “I do” this year? Weddings could return in a big way this year.

Due to covid, engaged couples postponed or cancelled the big event due to the risk of large gatherings. Wedding plans can be made easier with the new Venue Visits Tour Group’s tours on board a C&S luxury motor coach to 4 venues.

The venues featured cake designers, DJs, florists, caterers and wedding planners. Participants spoke 1-on-1 with vendors, and sampled hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

C&S Tours owner Sharla Savage said she came up with the concept in January.

“I decided to talk to several venues about it, and they were excited,” she said. “It came from trying to reinvent an opportunity to do something for the community.”

The 1st tour March 7 traveled to Stone-Bridge Gardens and Events, Historic Columbia’s Gardens, Stone River and The Haven.

The 2 March 21 included tours of Double Tree Columbia, Twelve Oak Estate, The Farm at Ridgeway and Rock Bottom Pond.

20 participants are allowed per bus, with a maximum of two buses per tour. Every one’s temperature was checked and masks were required. Tours were noon - 6 pm.
