Springdale Mayor Michael Bishop says the town has some exciting projects. The Springdale Police Department has collected coats and winter accessories to be given to those in need. The coat give-a-way will take place in the park beside Springdale Town Hall, 10 am until noon Saturday, Oct. 26.

Springdale Town Hall personnel are collecting food through Oct. 31 in partnership with Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission. The food will provide holiday food bags to elderly neighbors in the community.  Visit the Town of Springdale’s Facebook page for a list of requested food items.

Be sure to look for Sprngdale’s Yard of the Month, at 3232 Glendale Road.  Bishop encouraged others to participate in beautifying their yards. “The Public Works Department will be choosing a new Yard of the Month recipient each month, and it could be you,” he said.
