B-L native earns Naval recognition

A Batesburg-Leesville native was named Supervisor of the Year at Naval Information Warfare Command Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina.

Brigade Commander Ryan Price is a supervisor for the engineering department and was honored for his honest communication and selfless commitment to employee growth.

Price is also a brigade commander for the 228th Tactical Theater Signal Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard and has been instrumental in emergency response situations.

“Being selected as the Supervisor of the Year for [NIWC Atlantic], an esteemed organization that focuses engineering and supporting competencies on exceeding our warfighter and federal stakeholder information technology needs, is a humbling and rewarding experience,” Price said.

“This recognition is truly the highlight of my professional career.”

NIWC Atlantic provides systems engineering and acquisition to deliver information warfare capabilities to the naval, joint and national warfighter through the acquisition interoperable technology capabilities.
