Randi Curry has been named the new assistant principal for instruction at Batesburg-Leesville High School, bringing more than a decade of experience to the role.
Curry began her career in education as a STEM and computer lab teacher assistant at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School and was named the Teacher of the Year for the 2017-18 school year. Most recently, she served as an early childhood teacher at Midway Elementary School in Lexington County School District One.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree in administration and supervision from Liberty University. In addition to her degrees, Curry holds certifications in early childhood education and Tier 1 leadership for elementary and secondary principals.
Throughout her career, she has been involved in the Batesburg-Leesville Primary School leadership program, Personalized Learning team, the ADK Teacher Sorority, the Midlands Elementary PTO Board and served as first-grade chair.
“With her collaborative spirit and skill in using data-driven instruction, Mrs. Curry is dedicated to cultivating a positive educational environment that supports both academic achievement and professional growth,” the release said.
Curry is a Lexington native and resides there with her husband, CJ, and their two daughters: Falyn, 9, and Blakely, 9 months old.
