Seniors from the seven Senior Centers in Lexington County enjoyed attending their annual Mardi Gras party. The party was given to the seniors by the Lexington County & Aging Commission.

This was held at the Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center gymnasium. Over 175 people attended. Each of the Senior Centers had tables set up for their members. Donald Ceasar, Owner of Ceasar’s Music, did an excellent job as DJ for the party. ROTC students from Batesburg-Leesville High School attended. They helped as needed and mingled with the seniors and enjoyed a morning of dancing. They also escorted the King and Queen winners to the front of the gymnasium. There the seniors received their crowns and sashes. Lunch was provided and everyone had a great time.
