An anonymous community tip led to an arrest at a Leesville home last week. Lexington County deputies arrested Cordell Wyman Clark, 26, whom they have been seeking since earlier last week.

Clark is charged with resisting arrest and failure to stop for a blue light, according to booking documents at the Lexington County Detention Center.

“The search for Clark, who was already a wanted subject in Aiken County, started with a shooting reported to us on Perry Taylor Road Tuesday afternoon,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a release. “No one was injured or hit in the shooting; however, we are still looking into what happened.”

The anonymous tip stating he was at a home on Reedy O. Smith Road.

“As deputies approached the house, Clark ran out the back door,” Koon said. “We brought in a K-9 and our drone team to track him.”

After searching, deputies and assisting SLED agents seized Clark in a house at the 500 block of Perry Taylor Road, according to Koon.
Clark is being held at Lexington County Detention Center and his bond was set at $15,000 for all charges combined.
