What are you doing to pass the time with kids doing school work from home and many of you not working? Several activities are making the rounds in local neighborhoods.

The Regency Square neighborhood has been getting in on the “stuffed animal in the window’”scavenger hunt, where families put a bear or other animals in their windows so that those out for a walk with the kids can count bears.

Saxe Gotha Elementary 4K teacher Casey Hart has taken to Facebook Live to do nightly read-alongs for her students.

Most of our local restaurants are doing takeout, curbside pickup, delivery, or some combination of those. Support local businesses whenever you can.

Churches are adapting just like the rest of us. Rev. Bob Dunn at Red Bank United Methodist Church will offer a short-term Bible study online on the book of Revelations. It’s on Youtube Live stream every www.rbumc.com for details.

Lexington Schoool District One has online classes and a food program for all students 18 and under. The district is using buses to deliver lunch every weekday. Check the district website www. lexdistrict1.com for a list of stops. Thanks to our food service workers and bus drivers for making this possible.
