Bi-Lo closing all SC stores Over the next 3 months Winn Dixie/ BI-Lo is divesting themselves of locations in NC, SC, and GA.

Local Bi-Lo stores that are closing or have closed:

• Jan. 9, 2349 Augusta Rd., West Columbia

• Jan. 10, 300 Knox Abbot Drive, Cayce

• Jan. 15, 760 Highway 378, Lexington

• Jan. 24, 2453 Charleston Hwy., Cayce

• Mar. 7, 6021 St. Andrews Road, Columbia

Most of the stores are being sold to Food Lion.

Who’s new

AgSouth Farm Credit loan officer trainees Robert Allen Pope and Liza Wilson have accepted loan officer positions in the Batesburg office.

Pope lives in Columbia. He graduated from Clemson with a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies.

Wilson currently lives in Lexington but is from the small farming community of Lowrys in Chester County. She graduated in May 2020 from Clemson University with a degree in Agribusiness and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Nonprofit board announced

Mission Lexington announced its 2021 Board of Directors.

• Chris Rice of DAK Americas LLC will serve as the President and Chairman.

• Nate Gibson of Emmaus Church will serve as both Treasurer and Chair-Elect.

• Ken Prill of Boiling Springs United Methodist Church will serve as Secretary.

Additional Board Members at Large are Chris Allen of Newspring Church, Dr. Mary Holloway of Midlands Technical College, Brent Johnson of Midlands Media Group, Jacob Cook of Sun Printing and Michelle Eargle of Midlands Technical College.

Brewery to open Jan. 30

Savage Craft Ale Works is opening in West Columbia Jan. 30, the Chronicle’s Terry Ward reported.

Savage Craft is a veteran-owned microbrewery at 430 Center Street in West Columbia. It’s in the old Brookland City Hall and Fire Station building.
