Hope Binkley invites you to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping.

Sunday, Nov. 22 is te annual Blessing Box fundraiser and Christmas Bazaar at noon at the Hollow Creek Community Center at 2701 Priceville Road.

Vickie Gossett will have a country store with fresh produce. Christmas gifts will be at a silent auction. Vendors include Kantell’s Kitchen, Krissi Geiger, Lisa Tedder, Lyda Murphy Bartley, Amanda Johnson Fisher, Valerie Dooley Deller, Darlene Whittle, Matilda Jane, Aubrey Binkley, Lynda Bartley, Rebecca Woolsey, Michelle Prattle, Tonya Peek, Makaela Ward, Mary McQueen, Carolyn Cooley, Nikki Chambers McAbee, and Sharon Kahl. Young Miss Teen Lake Murray Halle Bevins will collect canned food for the Blessing Boxes.

The Blessing Box and Christmas Bazaar is about helping others. Please bring nonperishable food, small toys for stocking stuffers, hygiene products, knit hats/gloves and baby products. For each item you bring you’ll receive a ticket in a gift basket drawing.

THE ANNUAL

W.I.R.E. Golf Tournament was held at Golden Hills Country Club. Lacy Ridgell of Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative said over $15,000 was raised for Becky’s Place Boutique at Lexington Medical Center.

The Holly W.I.R.E., Guide W.I.R.E. and Light W.I.R.E. groups volunteered. In the 21 years of Mid-Carolina Electric’s W.I.R.E. golf tournament, more than $170.000 has been raised. Becky’s Place provides wigs to women after cancer treatments.

Lacy Ridgell said this year they cancelled their W.I.R.E. group Christmas party. .
