Travers Antonio Berry, 50, of Columbia, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man recovered from Lake Murray last week.

His body was found near the Irmo side of the dam at around 11 p.m. on April 11.

According to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Berry was reportedly getting off a boat when he fell from the dock while putting on his shoes.

He was pronounced dead at the scene when he was recovered by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department Dive Team.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the Lexington County Sheriff's Department and the Lexington County Coroner's Office are investigating.
