Brookland-Cayce to Play Wednesday Due to Hurricane Ian

All Friday Games for Chronicle Country Teams Rescheduled

Week Six will start Wednesday for one Chronicle Country high school.

With Hurricane Ian set to roll through with inclement weather this week, Brookland-Cayce joined the growing list of local teams that have seen games rescheduled. The Bearcats will travel to Orangeburg-Wilkinson Sept. 28 for their Region 5-3A opener, the school confirmed. The game will take place at 7 p.m.

Fellow Lexington County School District 2 member Airport will join 10 other Chronicle Country teams in action Thursday. The Eagles wlll play host to Aiken in their Region 4-4A opener.

At this point, no Chronicle Country teams are scheduled to play Friday.

Both the S.C. High School League and SCISA were prompted to move up their scheduled Sept. 30 games in response to the possibility of heavy rainfall due to Hurricane Ian.
