Cadets honor Afghanistan terror attack victims

Posted

Batesburg-Leesville High JROTC cadets didn’t forget.

They set up a touching memorial Monday to honor the 13 service men and women killed last week in Afghanistan.

13 pairs of boots and 13 American flags flanked the sidewalk around the flagpole on which Old Glory flew at half staff.

Two patriotic wreaths overlooked the scene at the school in Lexington County School District 3.

The JROTC is overseen by Sgt. Tim Covington and Col. Jonathan Robinson.

The memorial will be on display through next week.
