The youth group at Lexington Church of God will hold a yard sale January 11, 7 am-noon. They are raising money to go to the Shabbach Youth Conference later this year.

With the holidays behind us, local high school sports are ramping back up. The White Knoll varsity basketball teams open their conference schedules against Lexington on the Wildcats’ court January 14, with the girls game at 6 pm the boys at 7:30.

It’s cookie time again! This weekend marks the beginning of door-to-door Girl Scout Cookie sales, so watch for your local scout to come knocking. If you don’t have one in your neighborhood let me know, I have one in my own house who’d be happy to take your order. All of your favorite varieties are back, from Thin Mints to Caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties and more. And the price has not gone up—still $4 a box, which will support Scout activities.

If you want to take off some cookie weight after the holiday season, Red Bank Baptist Church continues to offer a free low impact exercise class every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-10 am in room 108 at the church. Call 803-359-2681 for information.
