The College Plan has announced the launch of the all-new Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarships for the 2026- 27 academic year, expanding opportunities for students pursuing higher education across multiple academic disciplines.

The program introduces 10 new $1,000 Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarships designed to reward academic excellence and support students enrolling in accredited colleges, universities and technical schools.

  • Three $1,000 Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarships in marine biology
  • Three $1,000 Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarships for majors in music
  • Three $1,000 Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarships for elementary education majors
  • One $1,000 Bob & Yvonne Maris National Scholarship for general academic achievement

Scholarships are provided exclusively through The College Plan, the Lexington-based nonprofit firm that helps college-bound high school seniors achieve admission to their college of choice. Each scholarship awarded recognizes academic excellence and will be distributed directly to the recipient's accredited educational institution upon certification of acceptance and proof of enrollment.

"The College Plan helps students and parents pursue meaningful educational and career goals," said Jeffrey M. Breed, the nonprofit’s founder and CEO. "These new scholarships honor the legacy of educators Bob and Yvonne Maris while investing in the next generation of leaders, educators, artists and scientists."

The new scholarships are open to qualifying students nationwide for the 2026-27 academic year. Funding will be provided directly to the recipients’ college, university or technical school. Students and families interested in learning more about eligibility requirements and application information may visit TheCollegePlan.org and apply online.
