Sybil and I pray for all of our partners who have made Belize Baseball a reality.

While we were at the Blowfish game July 20, the children in Belize were playing a tournament and the winners were given a gold medal. This is a small reward for the work and dedication each of the kids have invested in the program and their success.

Everyone involved with Belize Baseball. has outfitted 5 teams, but the success of the program is that there are 7 more teams ready to play next year as soon as we get equipment for them. And Pastor Victor says he has had at least 10 schools and churches that want to know what they need to do to be a part of Belize Baseball.

Sybil said yesterday that she had no idea when she said she would get equipment for Pastor Victor’s church children to play baseball that “Sybil Little League” as Victor calls it would spread across the country.

One indication of the success is Victor’s story of a young boy who was at Sunday services 2 weeks ago. After services Victor asked him if someone had invited him to church. He said he had found out where the church bus picked up people and came because he wanted to play baseball.

Thanks to Pastor Victor and everyone involved with Belize Baseball, the boy will hear about God and His love. We look at the smiles on the faces of the children playing baseball and see the face of God.

We thank everyone who has done so much to make Belize Baseball a reality.
