Unemployment in March 2020 stood at 2.5% in Lexington County and 3% in Richland County before the pandemic lockdowns.
The SC unemployment rate fell to 5.1% in March from 5.2% in February.
Beginning April 18, claimants are required to do two weekly work searches to remain eligible for unemployment benefits. The searches can be completed online or via smartphone app.
