Despite covid-19 deaths, our population numbers are rising.

The US population hit 330 million, according to US Census Bureau estimates.

The 2010 census counted 308,745,538 US residents.

The bureau estimated the 2020 SC population at 5,210,100.

The Lexington County 2020 population is estimated at 303,460 with a growth rate of 1.41% in the past year.

The bureau’s Population Estimates Program calculates 3 components of change: births, deaths and migration.

The US has 1 birth every 8 seconds, 1 death every 12 and a net gain of 1 international migrant every 47 seconds.

The population clock includes people who live in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

It does not include members of the armed forces overseas, their dependents, or other US citizens outside the country.

California is the most populous state with more than 39.5 million residents as of 2019.

Texas is 2nd with nearly 29 million residents.

The South is the most populous region with more than 125 million residents.

The US is the world’s 3rdmost populous country.

It is far behind China with nearly 1.4 billion residents and India with more than 1.3 billion.
