A new Cuban Restaurant is open for business in Lexington.

Tropical Grille has opened in the old Smashburger location at 5449 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington.

It features freshly made and healthy dishes, sandwiches and salads. They also do catering.

Adam and Lisa Akers are the local franchisees and have previous franchise restaurant experience. They moved to Lexington last year. They look forward to seeing their new neighbors and friends at the restaurant.

The chain was started in Greenville by Lazaro Montoto and his wife Shadid. They have restaurants in the upstate and North Charleston.
