Deer antler measuring sessions to happen in Lexington County

The SCDNR is hosting deer antler measuring sessions through South Carolina.

According to the press release, 8,413 sets of white-tailed deer antlers, including 8,080 typical racks and 333 non-typical, are currently ranked on South Carolina's all-time antler records list. 

Below are dates in Lexington County:

  • Wednesday, March 5 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Bishop’s at the Mill, 200 Spring St. in Swansea.
  • Friday, March 7 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., at Price’s Country Store, 540 Peach Festival Rd. in Gilbert.
  • By appointment any time throughout the year at the SCDNR office located at 260 D Epting Ln. in West Columbia.
