Dominion Energy to hold shareholder meeting

Dominion Energy plans its 2019 annual shareholders meeting in Columbia May 7.

Information on how to request a ticket will be sent to shareholders March 25.

It will be held at the University of South Carolina Alumni Center, 900 Senate Street Tuesday, May 7, at 9:30 am.

The company is the new owner of the Lexington County-based SCANA holding corporation and its SC Electric & Gas subsidiary.

“Dominion Energy routinely holds its shareholder meetings in the places where we do business,” said Thomas Farrell, chairman, president and CEO.

“Having this year’s meeting in Columbia, where we now serve electric and gas utility customers, allows us to interact with, listen to, and learn from our new shareholders in South Carolina and elsewhere.”

Dominion plans to change SCE&G’s name to Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc., April 15.

When Dominion completes its purchase, SCANA shareholders will receive 0.6690 shares of Dominion Energy common stock in exchange for each share of SCANA common stock.

Dominion last held an annual meeting in Columbia May 11, 2016, after acquiring SCANA’s Carolina Gas Transmission, a 1,500-mile interstate pipeline serving South Carolina.
