Fall and Halloween events are starting around the area, and the first one happens this Sunday as The Church at White Knoll, Life Springs Worship Center, and Seven13 Church have partnered to host a Trunk or Treat event in the White Knoll High School parking lot from 4 until 6 pm.

Lexington Church of God, 1331 Nazareth Rd., is hosting its “T-N-T: Treat and Tell” again this year, which offers dramatic retelling of Biblical stories along with lots of free candy, games, inflatables, and hayrides for the kids. It will be going strong for two nights, Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31. Call 957-6675 for info.

Red Bank United Methodist Church holds its annual Trunk or Treat October 30 from 6 until 8 pm. In addition to decorated trunks full of candy, they will be a free hot dog dinner, bounce houses and other children’s games and music. The church is at the corner of South Lake Drive and Old Barnwell Road. Info: 359-4031

South Lexington Baptist will hold “Light The Night” Trunk ‘R Treat October 30, 6-7:30 pm. The church is on Brevard Parkway just off Platt Springs Road.

Congratulations to the White Knoll Marching Timberwolves, who hosted the Lower State competition last weekend. The event was moved to the gym due to the rain. White Knoll placed 3rd overall with 90 points. It was also awarded High Overall and High Visual awards. Lexington placed second with 90.1 and Stratford won with 90.3, marking the extremely close results.

Happy Birthday this week to Jessica Fox, Samantha Gates, Steve Taylor, Jackson Clamp, Kevin Sherman, Paula Ash, Brenda Keisler, Robin Smith, and Edith Lesley.

Happy Anniversary this week to the following couples: Wally and Shelia Harsey, James and Frances Jenkins, and Larry and Gayle Padgett.
