70 Wounded Warriors will enjoy a day of fishing and fun June 5.

The Troop Appreciation Foundation for the 8th year will sponsor the Troop Appreciation Fishing Derby on Lake Murray.

Dominion Energy and the Pine Island Board of Directors donated the use of the Pine Island Club for the 2019 event. The warriors will go with 26 local fisherman who donate their skill, time and equipment to give these heroes the experience of a life time. The event is a friendly competition among the troops culminating in prizes for the 5 biggest fish.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided and each warrior will receive an “Appreciation Gift.”

The event is 100% funded by donations from individuals and corporate sponsors.

The foundation is a state registered 501(c)3 not for profit organization. Donations can be sent to PO Box 576, Chapin, SC 29036.
