The next week will see plenty of fishing taking place on Lake Murray.
A pair of tournaments were announced Monday by the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board. The 1st is Major League Fishing’s Phoenix Bass Fishing League holding its regional championship Thursday and Friday.
The weigh-ins will take place at Dreher Island State Park. MLF also announced this week the 2022 Phoenix Bass Fishing League will compete on Lake Murray next spring on May 7, 2022. More information can be found at https:// majorleaguefishing.com/ events/2021-10-14-lakemurray/.
On Oct. 22-23, the Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic will take place. An estimated 200 anglers are expected to compete, with the weighin also taking place at Dreher Island State Park.
