Former Blowfish head coach organizing summer league

College baseball players will have an opportunity to play this season.

Columbia International University baseball head coach Jonathan Johnson is organizing a team to play a 30-game schedule on its new field in Columbia. The games will take place June 15-July 31 from 10 am to 2 pm.

In addition, there will be a playoff tournament during the 1st week of August.

The cost of the games are $600-800 for position players to cover umpires, coaches, trainers, balls, hats and uniforms.
