Congratulations to all the 2020 Lexington Medical Center Foundation Healthcare Scholarship awardees.

The Lexington Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be awarding $264,000 in Healthcare Scholarships this year to 85 deserving individuals.

These scholarships help enable healthcare professionals pursuing degrees in nursing and allied health disciplines to achieve their academic and professional goals.

Awardees are highly-qualified individuals that exemplify academic, volunteer, and professional excellence.

The highest scoring candidate also further received the Dr. and Mrs. Charles F. Crews Scholarship Award. This award is given in honor of Dr. Crews and his wife. Dr. Crews was a devoted surgeon and gentleman who was instrumental in making Lexington Medical Center the hospital it is today.

This year’s recipient is Jenna Williams, who is pursuing her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of South Carolina. The Foundation introduced the Healthcare Service Scholarship Award funded by a significant gift made by an anonymous donor.

The 4 candidates receiving the Healthcare Service Scholarship Award were selected as representative of the donor in their volunteerism, character, and dedication to serving patients and coworkers with compassion and a positive attitude. The awardees are: Kristen Allen, Caitlin Murray, Katelyn Sease, and Sarah Wadford.
