Gaston man charged with threatening Newberry County official

A Gaston man was charged and taken into custody after allegedly threatening a Newberry County official, authorities said.
Levar Markeith Kenderson, 38, was charged Dec. 15 in connection with a threat to kill a county official. The identity of the official was not released.
According to the arrest warrant, the threat was made using an electronic device and occurred near Wilson Road in Newberry.
Kenderson was booked into the Newberry County Detention Center.
