School has started, so drive safely and watch out for kids and school buses.

Pelion Athletics program includes August 29 when JV/V Volleyball hosts Silver Bluff at home at 5 p.m. The Cross Country meets at Lexington High at 5:30 p.m. Women’s Tennis hosts Saluda at home August 30 at 5 p.m. JV/V Volleyball meets at Brookland-Cayce at 5 p.m. and Varsity football plays at River Bluff at 7:30 p.m.

Pelion High hosts a Senior Parent meeting August 28 at 6 p.m. in the Little Theatre.

The Pelion Peanut Party will host a cooking contest this year. Contact Sarah Mills for more information at Saraheb.mills@ gmail.com. All entries must contain peanuts of some variety. The softball tournament will be organized by Amber Hartley. If interested in this event, contact Alhartley@lexington1.net.

The Woman’s Club

will participate in Adopt-A-Highway August 25 at 8 a.m. Meet at Fish Hatchery Road and help with the trash pick up. Bring a 5-gallon bucket, gloves, vest and a pick-up stick.

Pelion Library will host Technology Training September 5 at 10:30 a.m. Get personal assistance with your computer, tablet or smartphone. Learn to set up email, navigate the internet, download library materials, search for jobs online and more. Registration is required.
