Hepatitis A exposure at Harbison restaurant

Posted

If you have eaten at a Harbison-area restaurant, you may have been exposed to hepatitis A.

The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control announced that Wild Wing Cafe patrons at 1150 Bower Parkway may have been exposed.

DHEC was notified May 17 that an employee of the restaurant tested positive for hepatitis A, ABC news reported.

Customers who ate there between May 1 and May 15 could have been exposed to the virus.

DHEC is working with the cafe to investigate possible exposure and provide guidance for preventive treatment for anyone who may be affected.

This is not a food-borne outbreak.

Restaurant patrons who were potentially exposed can visit the Lexington County Health Department at 1070 South Lake Drive or call DHEC’s Careline at 1-855-4SC-DHEC.
