Pelion varsity football plays Calhoun County August 30 at 7:30 pm. Cross Country will meet at Saluda Shoals August 31 at 8:30 am for a CIU Invitational. There will be a will be a competitive cheer September 2 at Irmo High School, an Okra Strut Invitational. Girls varsity tennis plays Orangeburg Prep September 3 at 4 pm. Girls varsity tennis plays White Knoll September 5 at 4:30 pm. Varsity volley ball plays King Academy September 5 at 5 pm.

Pelion Library will host technology training on August 29 at 11:30 a.m. This event requires registration. Cook the Book will be September 3 at noon. Attendees all make recipes from the same book and gather to share the results, a crowd-sourced feast. This month’s theme is Southern Living. This event is for ages 18 and up.

Tween Extreme meets September 3 at 3:30 pm to add favorite photo to a coffee mug for a personalized gift for family members, friends or teachers. This event is for grades 4-7. Technology training will be September 4 at 10:30 am. Registration is required. Preschool storytime will be September 4 at 11 am for ages 1-5 years.

A reminder from the Pelion Ruritan that bricks are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase a brick for a military person, contact any member of the Ruritan or send an email to the address above. Bricks are $100 which is due with the form. New bricks are placed each April.
