Hilda Elaine Crain, 72, of Cayce died November 1, 2018.

She was retired from the Lexington County Chronicle, which she had helped to found in 1992. She was known and loved by all who visited the newspaper or talked with her by phone. She adored her family and her dogs, Huckleberry, Mini and Billy.

She is survived by her daughters Robin (Robbie) Reeese, Tracy Adkins, Melanie (Scott) Stevens, all of Cayce; son Ray (Joy) Adkins of Mt. Pleasant; and grandchildren Hunter and Cooper Reese, Maggie and Will Stevens, Durham and Bryce Adkins.
