How successful businesses survived covid-19

Are you still in business? How is your bottom line? Is it showing improvement? Are your customers returning and revenue increasing?

These questions concern all of us who were forced to shut down or impose restrictions during the covid-19 pandemic.

New Facebook data show how many businesses used social media to survive.

• Even in markets that are fully reopened many industries are struggling.

• Facebook postings reflect if a business is open and how much they are influenced by outside events they can’t control.

• Area grocery stores used social media significantly more than others elsewhere.

• Local event postings remain low. If you offer events or limited time sales, socal media will help alert and attract your customers and prospects.

• Businesses used social media to communicate restrictions and changes in operating hours.

Facebook officials said they will use these new insights to help vulnerable industries overcome and learn from challenges in future crises.
