Do you love ice cream? How about great gospel music? This Sunday at Red Bank United Methodist Church, you can enjoy both as the RBUMC Choir presents its annual Choir Concert. The choir will perform a selection of favorite anthems from throughout the year, spotlighting many of its soloists as well as full-choir numbers.

After the singing, everyone is invited to the church fellowship hall for homemade ice cream and more. The concert begins at 4 pm August 11. It is free, but a donation to support the choir’s expenses will be collected during the concert.

Thanks to Bobby Keisler for his many years of service to the Red Bank community and surrounding area as our district representative on the Lexington County Council. Bobby recently announced he will not seek reelection next year.

Good luck to our local teachers, who start back to work next week. Find a local school supply drive and donate some paper, pencils, notebooks, and writing instruments so that our teachers don’t have to foot the bill for that stuff themselves. And don’t forget the hand sanitizer and tissues for the classroom. Check your favorite local stores as many have good sales or teacher discounts available.
