Irmo launches Loan a Mower program for residents

Posted

Irmo has introduced a new program called Loan a Mower, giving residents free access to electric lawnmowers, leaf blowers and string trimmers.

One piece of equipment can be reserved for up to 24 hours; however, equipment borrowed on Friday must be returned by Monday morning. Residents are responsible for any lost or damaged equipment.

This came about from a partnership between the town council and Irmo Outdoor Equipment.

To participate, residents must first confirm they live within town limits. Then, they can register online at this link: https://townofirmo.jotform.com/252514356782966.

Once registered, residents may call Town Hall at 803-781-7050, ext. 107, to reserve equipment. Pickup is available at the Town of Irmo Public Works facility, 7300 Woodrow St., at either 8:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.
