In the lonely world of covid-19, Fifi and Fido may have become your best friends.

American Humane, the 1st national humane organization, wants you to consid er nominating them.

The 2021 American Humane Hero Dog Awards seeks to honor the best of your best friends.

The awards will be made on the Hallmark Channel this fall.

The 2-hour special will be aired on Hallmark’s pet adoption program which aims to end pet homelessness.

Dog owners are invited to visit www.herodogawards.org and nominate their heroic hound in 1 of 7 categories.

• Law Enforcement and Detection Dogs

• Military Dogs

• Therapy Dogs

• Service Dogs.

• Shelter Dogs

• Search and Rescue Dogs

• Guide/Hearing Dogs.

Nominations are due by March 2.
