It’s dinner for the Young at Heart

Red Bank Baptist Church’s Senior Adult Ministry is hosting a Young At Heart dinner for anyone 55 and up. The menu is brisket and grilled chicken with sides and dessert. Cost is $3 per person. The dinner begins at 4:30 p.m. May 19. Sign up by calling the church office, 803-359-2681 or visit rbbcsc.org for more information.

The Kids on a Mission Sunday School Class at Red Bank United Methodist Church are inviting all medical, police, fire and disaster first responders to join them in the church fellowship hall May 20, 9:30-11 a.m., to be honored for their dedication to the community and their willingness to serve. The kids have a special thank you arranged. Contact the church office for more information at (803)359-4031.

There’s an election coming up to fill an unexpired term on the Lexington District One Board of Trustees. If you don’t know much about the seven candidates, you’ll want to attend one of the candidate forums hosted by the district’s School Improvement Councils. Red Bank’s chance happens next Tuesday, May 22, at White Knoll High School. The forum begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.

Last weekend a vehicle crashed into the building on South Lake Drive in Red Bank that housed Pretty Paws grooming service and destroyed most of the equipment and supplies. The property is now unusable for the business. Friends and clients are rallying support to help the owners relocate and rebuild via a GofundMe page.
