Lexington County reported only 109 initial unemployment claims the last week in May. That compares with Greenville County with 221 initial claims.
Spartanburg had 151, Richland County 140 and Horry County 105.
This will be the last month of the federal unemployment benefits in SC. The claims fell by 89 from the previous week.
