Kids with nothing to do

The Belize Baseball project is not about collecting baseball equipment.

Yet collecting baseball equipment is necessary for the kids to play.

Belize Baseball is about giving Latin American kids with nothing to do, a future and introducing them to the Bible.

The latest shipment from Lexington County has raised the number of teams to 14 with about 170 kids.

Playing Belize Baseball has given hundreds of kids something productive to do.

Pastor Victor Hernandez includes Bible study as part of every practice.

Ralph and Sybil Jarrells of West Columbia saw the need on a mission trip.

With the encouragement of Pastor Victor, they started the program.

Baseball, Bible and Belize are a wonderful combination for the future.

Baseball is a way to give these kids a future.

Many of them are from villages and small towns many miles from the populated area in the Toledo District of Belize.

Most don’t have televisions. Most don’t even have bicycle. And many don’t have shoes.

The faces of the kids in these pictures is the face of the new Belize.
