Despite this recent spike in price, prospective home buyers with a budget below $523,000 are in luck.  48% of Lake Murray’s almost 300 homes for sale are priced between $250,000 and $500,000. An additional 19% are below $250,000.  

Lake Murray homes listed between $500,000 and $700,000 account for 12% of the lake’s total inventory.  

Homes priced between $750,000 and $1 million represent 13% and 7% of current Lake Murray homes for sale are listed between $1 million and $2 million.  

Properties priced between $500,000 and $2 million or higher are responsible for 33% of all Lake Murray homes for sale this summer.

What this means for Lake Murray consumers is that home prices did not increase across the board but there are more expensive properties on the market now.

Lake Murray homes for sale have increased by 23%.

This has driven the lake's total home market value up more than 42% to just under $151 million.

Consumers shopping for bargains are still in luck, since more than half of Lake Murray homes are priced below $500,000.
