Lake Murray July 4 fireworks to continue

The Capital City/ Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board will hold its annual fireworks display Saturday, July 4.

At approximately 9:15, fireworks will launch from Dreher Island and Spence Island. The fireworks show is synchronized to a patriotic music show. Onlookers can tune into 97.5 FM through iHeart Media for the special music program.

They will not hold the traditional boat parade.

The Irmo parksite at the Lake Murray Dam will be open all day on a first come to capacity basis with a $5 fee per vehicle. The Lexington park site at the Lake Murray Dam is closed at this time.
