An historical marker will be unveiled and dedicated for the Lakeview School in West Columbia, on Friday.
The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the site of the former Lakeview School, 1218 Batchelor Street. It is now the site of the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center.
The Greater Lakeview Alumni Association and the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center invites the public to attend this historic event.
