Rhonday Faye Beaty, 56, died last week in a single-vehicle collision.

Coroner Margaret Fisher identified Beaty as the only victim in the accident in the 2100 block of Broad Street in Batesburg on May 4.

Beaty, of Leesville, was pronounced deceased at an area hospital due to her injuries.

According to Fisher, Beaty’s vehicle veered off of the right side of the road and collided with a tree. Beaty, the only occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
