Leesville – Funeral services for Letha D. Long, 92, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1130 St Peters Rd, Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service in the Parrish Life Center. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are welcome to pay their respects 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or Wittenberg Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Letha passed away May 23, 2021. Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Hilton and Mildred Harman Hendrix. She was a retired beautician, and was one of the original members of the Round Hill Singers Group. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Senior Citizens Group, and the Gilbert Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gerald Long; daughter, Mary Fechtel (John); son, Charles “Nolan” Wessinger; grandchildren, Analisa Smith (James), Chad Wessinger (Toy), and Shane Wessinger (Libby); 7 greatgrandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Vauda Jane Shealy; 5 step-sons; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles R. Wessinger; daughter-in-law, Frances J. Wessinger; and 1 step-son.
