On Thursday, November 15th, members of the Lexington School District 3 Food Services team hosted a Thanksgiving meal for students, staff, and distinguished guests at B-L Primary, B-L Elementary, B-L Middle and B-L High Schools.
The meal included turkey and all of the traditional fixings such as gravy, dressing, yams, green beans, cranberry sauce, homemade yeast rolls and strawberry-banana salad.
Tables throughout the school cafeterias were decorated with a fall theme and local first responders, along with employees at Town Hall, were invited to enjoy the meal free of charge.
“We love hosting our annual Thanksgiving meal for our staff and students and this year, we tried to make it extra special by adding in additional decorations and by inviting guests from the community to come and dine with us,” said Deidre Yonce, the Director of Child Nutrition for Lexington School District 3.
“We appreciate their service to Batesburg-Leesville and their support of our great schools.”
